ʕaaḥuusʔatḥ Ahousaht Maaqtusiis

More than 2,400 members call ʕaaḥuusʔatḥ home, with families and community connections reaching across Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, and beyond.
Maaqtusiis, a quiet and culturally strong community, is located on the southeastern tip of Flores Island; about a 30-minute boat ride north of Tofino.
Visitors can enjoy a scenic 30-40 minute water taxi ride from Tofino Main St. Dock to ʕaaḥuusʔatḥ.
We encourage guests to travel with ʕaaḥuusʔatḥ-owned and operated water taxis for an authentic and community supported experience.
