Construction Progress Update
Construction on the Ahousaht Longhouse continues to move forward, with another exciting milestone reached since the last update.
Roof and Structural Progress
The roof is now on, giving the Longhouse its recognizable shape and allowing crews to continue making progress inside. The latest photos showcase the impressive exposed timber beams and wood ceiling, offering one of the best views yet of the building's scale and craftsmanship.
Community Open House
On June 27, community members were invited to tour the construction site during an open house. Visitors had the opportunity to walk through the building, ask questions, and see firsthand how the project is taking shape.
What's Next
The next major milestone is the installation of the windows, which is expected to begin around July 14. As the building becomes more enclosed, construction will continue into the next phases of the project.
Project Update
The project's most recent construction report noted that the latest architect inspection was successfully completed and no safety incidents were reported during the reporting period.
Thank you to everyone who continues to follow the progress of this important community project. Additional updates will be shared as construction continues.
