Tsunami Safety – Evacuation Areas
In the event of a tsunami warning in Ahousaht, move immediately to higher ground.

Safe evacuation areas are shown in green on the map.
Follow directions from the Emergency & Security Coordinator and use the closest safe route.

Evacuation Areas
Area A – Water Treatment Plant Area
Up toward and above the Water Treatment Plant.
Area B – Above Marceline Jacks house
Up toward Ruth and Qamiina Sam's house
Area C – AEA / H&R Block Area
Up toward the AEA building and H&R Block area.
Area D – Happy Hill / Fire Hall Area
Happy Hill area near the Fire Hall/EOC.
Area E – Rock Quarry
Undeveloped area behind Annie Smith’s house, connecting toward the Lodge.  Currently blocked off for construction (2026) avoid this zone until further notice.
Area F – Longhouse Site
Currently under construction (2026) avoid this evacuation area if possible.
